The Steak & Shiraz Club
(SASC)

The Steak and Shiraz Club of Australia (SASC) was founded in 2011 in Melbourne. The Club is loosely modeled on the Sublime Society of Beefsteaks which began in England in 1735. More can be discovered about the Sublime Society of Beefsteaks by following the link:

Our Patron
The Club's Patron (and founder) is the Late Christopher Francis Haymes Esq. (1947-2015).
His forsight, vision and energy created the Club; his memory continues to sustain us all.

The Grand Primo.
The Grand Primo is the chief officer of the Club. He is chosen for his wisdom, sartorial splendor and knowledge of red wine.
The Grand Primo (Lord Patrick Xavier Mackabee) is pictured below after receiving his "Fez of Office" from the Caliph of Chora.
Whilst Patrick left us in January 2019, he retains that title in perpetuity.
